SVG Cuts June ATC Swap

there is a monthly ATC Swap.

This month's theme is
Patriotic.

A while back, I won a
challenge at
I was given my choice of $10 Sets.
I chose Celebrate July 4th.
So I knew exactly what I wanted to do for this Swap.

I thought I was making a wise choice of papers.  Figured the girl with the red dress needed to be on the blue paper.  And the boy would look good on the flag paper.  Major mistake.  I had the girls done and then went to do the boys and said NO NO NO.  The stripes on the pants and hat are to much for the background paper.  Not much I could do since I had the girls all done, and the backs all put together for the boys.  DUMB.  I never think my paper through as well as I should.
With this cards, I used my new Grand Calibur for the first time.  I used a polkadot embossing folder on the red paper for the girl and their is hearts on the blue paper of the boy.  Again it doesn't show very well so not thought out very well.
On the girls I added Icicle Stickles to the sparklers and on the boys I used Gold Stickles on the buttons. Wasn't much room for any other embellishments.  :(

Thanks for stopping by.

Fat Page

Yes, I know it is Wednesday...but I like Fat-Tastic Tuesday.

You ask what is Fat-Tastic TuesdayFat-Tastic Tuesday is a challenge blog that does fat pages.

What are fat pages?  4" x 4" pieces of art.

I had done swaps before with fat pages and have always had fun with them.  But I really like this.  I make the little pieces of art and get to save them.  I am making them into a book.  I even picked up rings for the book today while I was out.  I have the cover and back started but can't decide what to do with them.

This week (actually their challenges are every 2 weeks) the challenge is red, white and blue.  Use the sketch as a guideline and add metal.  No problem I thought.  I am going to the craft store this morning and I will find something metal.  WRONG!!  I couldn't find a thing. But I did come up with a few things that I will say fit when I got home.

Here is the sketch

Here is what I did with it...

Ok so here are the deets on the card.
I used an image I won at Fat-Tastic Tuesday from Lacy Sunshine, called Lady Liberty.  I colored the image with a combination of Copic Markers ( E00, E11. R20), Prismacolor pencils (903, 915, 920, 942, 992), and Gel Pens (white, red, and METALLIC gold).  The image is 2"....talk about challenging to color!!

I used American Craft Glitter Tape (Rouge, White and Sky).  They have a nice metallic look to them.

The papers are from AC Moore open stock.

I added Glossy Accents to the glasses.

While I was out, I got a new die cut, Spellbinders Nestabilites Star Circles.  I saw this and knew it was what I needed for this card.  And the die cuts are made of metal.

I have also entered this card in...

Celebrate the 4th of July

As many of you know,
we have a house full of
Cats...and a few birds.
Decorating in the house really isn't much of an option....
unless the idea of shredded paper is your idea of fun...
it sure would be for the cats and birds.

So I decorate my front door.
And well it is almost the
4th of July!!

A while back I won a challenge at
I won a $10 gift set of my choice!
When I saw the set "Celebrate the 4th of July"
I knew it would make a great looking door.

Here are the pictures of the door.

Here is the entire door.

The upper part of the door.

The lower part of the door.

I have entered this in the
Anything Goes Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Fat-Tastic Tuesday #4

#4

For this challenge,
you need a
Father's Day card,
with natural elements
and use the sketch for inspiration.

Here is the sketch....

Here is the card I did.
Now remember Fat Pages are 4" x  4"

Hubby and I bowl.
So while his Father's Day card was a mechanic,
I went with a bowler for this one.
The place I got the image from no longer exists.  :(
It was a site that did only male images....
and they asked what do the guys in your life do.
I said bowl.
The artist did this and then gave it to me for free for suggesting it.
I have no idea where the branch came from.
The sentiment is from
the Doodle Pantry
I used a combination of Copic markers
R20, R29, E000, E00, E25, E31, E37,FRV1, YG25, 100
and Prismacolor Pencils
PC 1101, PC1102
I added American Craft Glitter Tape to the right side
and the Tear drops are from the Robin's Nest
(I won them in a challenge).
The white strip on the right is so I can make a book out of the pages.
FTT #3 is on the other side of this page.
One of these days I will get around to making a cover and back for this book.

I have also entered this in
Crafter's Digital Art Center's Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by...

a Sympathy Card.

Here is my card...

This card is a Double Z card.
The front sentiment is from
Doodle Pantry, Sympathy 2.

I debated on coloring the image.
In the end, I felt that it was best
to leave as a black and white image.

9 PM EST
to enter your project in our

CWLC #44 Anything Goes

Created with Love Challenges
#44

Anything Goes

This week our sponsors are our own Linda...and me.

Here is what the random winner will receive...

Since we are so close to Father's Day,
I chose to make a card for hubby,
who is a mechanic.

This image is from a company that doesn't exist any more.
I cut the wrenches on my Cricut, added a bow and sentiment.
This is the first card in ages that is Stickle-less.
But I did add a Pearl Glimmer Mist to the ribbon.
I had planned a Green Glimmer Mist,
but the bottle decided not to spray
..instead it leaked out the back...and I didn't notice it at first.
Couldn't figure out why my hand was so wet.
Now I have green fingers and a mess I had to clean up off the desk.
:(

You have till June 8, 2013,
9 PM EST,
to be eligible for the prize and Top 3.
