CWLC #60 Halloween

Created With Love Challenges

Halloween

This week is all about
Halloween.

Our sponsor this week is....

This was inspired by a card I saw online.
I thought I bookmarked it
but I didn't.
So I ended up winging this one on my own.

I used Digi Darla's,
She Devil.

Here is the front of the card.

The patterned paper came out of my scrap drawer.
I have a huge drawer full of patterned paper
that is left over from previous projects.
I need to hit that drawer more before looking at
whole sheets of paper.
The spider wed is from
SVG Cuts...
its called Spider web corner.
The big spider and pumpkin are from JoAnn's.
The 'holes' in the spider have Crystal Stickles
and the pumpkins eyes and mouth are Diamond Black Stickles.
I don't recall where I got the sentiment.

Now for the inside of the card.

The house and front piece are SVGs cut on my Cricut...
Can't recall where from....it was before I started making sure
the name was listed with the file.
 The coffin is from
Digital Delights.
The moon is simply a circle cut on the Cricut.
The image is She Devil,
from Digi Darla.
I colored the image with
Copics
E000, E00, E33, R20, R29, 100
and a gold gel pen.

I made the card so when folded it would be 1.25" thick so it could accommodate the coffin.
The lid of the coffin comes off and candy can be added!!

A Halloween Card

This card is a
Halloween card
and it is
Just Because.

As you may know,
I have been doing the weekly bargain image
at

This image,
was week 1's bargain image.

Well when I saw week 2's image,
I took the project in a different direction.
See I am simply coloring the images
each week.
I have no idea what the next week's image will be.

So here I have this image,
already colored.
And I love what I did with it.

So the plan is to make into a card...
and then see what challenges it might work in.
Something I haven't done before.

Ok so here is the card.....

I colored the image with...
Copics
BV13, C8, C7, E000, E00, E33, E37, R20, Y17, YG09, YG17, YG97
and a Gold Gel Pen.

With a bit of Glossy Accents on the bubbles
and Green Stickles on the suds.
I printed the image twice
and colored the frog again
and used pop dots to give him
just a bit of a pop off the image.

The patterned paper is from
Recollections,
Haunted Manor Paper Pad.

The flat back black and orange pearls are from
Recollections.

The sentiment is also from
Digital Delights...

No card would be complete
without the matching envelope.

The purchase of my
We R Memories,
Envelope Punch Board,
was the best purchase
EVER!!

It's Friday...Digital Delight's Bargain Image!!!

Second Friday of the Month
Bargain Image

I am doing these images as they come out.
So I don't know what the next image is.
And as much as I love the way I did last week's image,
this week's image just isn't gonna work
with the way I colored last week's image.

This week's image is

Digital Delights' images
come in both
JPG and PNG.

So I decided to merge
last week's and this week's images,
using the PNGs.

This is just the image.  It won't be made into a card till the end of the month.
And who know before the end of the month I might change my mind
and do something else with it....
just as I have last week's image.

I colored the images with my Copic Markers.
 100, BV13,C5, C7, E000, E00, E25, E33, E37, R20, Y13, Y17, YG09
And my white, silver and gold gel pen.

I cut the image out.
Then put it through the Xyron, so it would have a sticky back.
Then I used Glossy Accents to the globe.

How to make a TeePee Card

The other day I saw a TeePee card.

AMAZING.

Its a card, yet
its a decoration!!
Sit it on a shelf or table
and  instant home deco!!

So I went in search of how to make one.
It is so much easier than it looks.

Here is the first one I made,
using digi's from
Digital Delights',

 To make this card,
also known as a great Halloween Decoration,
you need

  • 12" x 12" black cardstock
  • 12" x 12" patterned paper
  • 3 images
  • closure (I used kool tak Hook and Loop)
  • tape (what every you normally use to assemble cards)
  • embellishmens
  • Scoring tool...I use a Scor-Pal
First you need to cut your black paper,
so you have 3 pieces, measuring 6" x 6".
(Yeap you will have a 6" x 6" piece leftover).

Note...you can make this smaller or bigger...
just make sure all 3 pieces are the same size.

Score each of the 3 pieces on the diagonal and fold.

Cut your patterned paper so you have 2 pieces,
5 3/4" x 5 3/4'.

(You always want to be 1/4" smaller
than your solid piece of card stock)

Cut each piece on the diagonal.
(yeap, you will have one left over)

Adhere your patterned paper to one side of a solid paper.

\I have found it is best to lay the next piece out
before you put the patterned paper on.

Then adhere the pieces together.

Put the third piece in place and adhere

 Add the patterned paper.

You can always fold it up to make sure you have the pieces correct.

Add a closure.
In the one above, I used 2 closures.
It really only needs one.

Then embellish.

The patterned paper for both TeePees is from
K&Company,
TC Halloween and Fall Pad.

The embellishments are from
a Halloween Bling Swap
from years ago.

Hope you have found this tutorial useful.
