Hello everyone!! Welcome to a new Digi Darla challenge!! We are going weekly now!!! Thank you all for joining us last week and for your support for the children's mission. We are being sponsored by "BUGABOO"!!!
Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: A Short Essay
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week! If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug.

That means for this challenge you can choose to use either a Digi Darla image OR Bugaboo image!!
Bugagoo Stamps is going to be our sponsor this week and
they are giving away a prize pack to one winner.

Bugaboo was kind enough to allow the DT to choose an image of their choice to showcase this week and we want to send out a HUGE thank you!! So on that note, here's some awesome inspiration from the DT as well as 2 super cute cards from 2 of Bugaboo's DT!!

CDAC's Inchies Swap

Inchies Swap

Inchies are little works of art.  One inch square.  Well this Inchie Swap had a twist.  We make 3" x 3" digital images, colored them, and then cut them into 1" squares...making them puzzles.  Here is the image I used and it all cut up.  Sorry I don't recall who's image it is.

"Susanna Shopper" Benefit Mission

Digi Darla's
"Susana Shopper"
Benefit Mission

Kim, Digi Darla owner and artist, and her husband recently returned from a Missions Trip to Nicaragua.  Kim found even though she was home, she still wanted to help the children of Nicaragua.  She has drawn "Susanna Shopper" and is selling her $1, with 100% of the purchase to be donored to the children of Nicaragua.

Just a reminder...you still have time to get in on Digi Darla's Festive Flowers Challenge.  And in honor of Kim's mission and Festive Flowers, here is my card...

The Marigold were cut on my Cricut.  Petals were sprayed with Marigold Glimmer Mist and the leaves with Monster Mash Glimmer Mist.  (Glimmer Mist is my new favorite).  The resin flowers in the corner are from Pizzazz Aplenty.

You have till Saturday to get in on the Festive Flowers Challenge.  Come Monday we go weekly with our challenges.  :)
Hugs, love and prayers

Why haven't I been in the craft room?

I was asked this morning why haven't been posting a lot of creations?  Well I haven't spent much time in the craft room.  Why?  Well with a granddaughter on the way, I have been crocheting.  My son, TJ, will be having a daughter in June.  Now this is something I haven't done in.  I did one sweater and it might have fit a small premie.  I thought dear Lord, what have I done.  After speaking to a couple of others, the pattern is by design small.  I thought thank goodness it wasn't me.

So I found a new pattern...for a 6 month old baby.  Within a couple of days, I should have it done and will share pictures.

I still have to make a newborn sweater and found some really GREAT sites with free patterns.

My daughter, Kelly, called me the other night and said mom remember how you use to crochet baby blankets and sweaters?  Well her other half brother, Joe, will be having a daughter in August.  So it was "mom, can you please make something for Joe's baby, too?"

So Grammy will be spending a lot of time crocheting.  :)

Digi Darla's Festive Flowers Challenge

It's time for a new Digi Darla's Challenge.  Festive Flowers!!

Before I get into this week's challenge, there are a few things to do first.

This past challenge we added a prize.  If you submitted a project to the Busting with Buttons, and commented on any DT's posting for that challenge, you were eligible to win the image that DT member used.  I had 6 of the entries comment on my blog.

#5 is Yoshira aka Cricutalltime.  Please email me and I will send you the image.  (not sure why the link doesn't work...try this card-iologistchris@cox.net)

We have some new things happening here at Digi Darla's.  First, Dawn is now our Sponsor coordinator and she has lined up some great sponsors for us.  Plus this is our last bi-weekly challenge.  On April 23, 2012, we will be doing weekly challenges.

With Digi Darla challenges you MUST use a Digi Darla image.  Don't have one?  Be sure to check out the freebies found on the sidebar of the challenge page.

This challenge is sponsored by Robyn's Fetish

I have used Robyn's Fetish's Primitive Pitcher.  I cut the flowers on my Cricut and I made use of my Glimmer Mist.  The marigolds have Candy Corn Glimmer Mist.  The leaves have Bubble Light Green Glimmer Mist.  And the red flower has True Blood Glimmer Mist.  Then I sprayed Spring Rain Glimmer Mist on them all.  I added some rhinestones flowers to 3 corners and some rhinestones to the middle of the flowers.

I will be back later in the week with a Digi Darla image and Festive Flowers.

Hugs, love and prayers

CDAC's St Patty's Day and Easter ATC and Stick Pin Swap

CDAC's
St Patty's Day and Easter
ATC and Stick Pin Swap

That was a mouth full, but very fun.  I had forgotten I had taken pictures before sending them out and since they are back, I thought I would share.

Usually I make holders for the stick pins but since I used ribbon on the cards, I just tucked the stick pin into the ribbon.

Hugs, love and prayers

ATC World Alphabet Swap

Alphabet Swap
A and B

I am hosting an ATC swap at ATC World, a Yahoo Group.  This will be a 13 month swap.  We are creating 3 ATCs for 2 letters a month.  This month was A and B.  Now that they are all sent back out, I can share  the ones I made with ya'll.

Sorry it isn't a better picture.  I need to re-do my photo box.
With A, I kinda let the paper be the focal point.  With B, I used a Digi Darla image.  The apple has been sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist.  The words on A have Diamond Stickles.  The words on B are done in True Blue Stickles and the cloud is done in Frosted Lace Stickles.  I used my new corner punch on B and really wish I had done it on A, too.  Oh well what's done is done.  :)  Corner embellishments are from Pizzazz Aplenty

Check back next month for C and D.

Hugs, love and prayers
Chris

Stickle Shelves

Finally able to post this picture of the Stickle Shelves Larry built for me.  I have every color of the regular Stickles...all 42, thanks to a Stickles Club at Cutters Creek.  Plus one Distressed Stickles.

Larry did much better than I thought he would and I am proud to show this off.

To the left of the Stickles Shelves is the ribbon shelves he built me and to the right are embellishment boxes...almost time for another one.  :)

Hugs, love and prayers
