Delightful Challenges Make a Wish

Make a Wish Challenge

This challenge must have a candle or star in it.

Our sponsor this week is...

The prize is a $15 gift certificate.

Again Digital Delights has the best images for this challenge.
I had a hard time picking one!!
But I decided on Birthday Cake Josh,
and what better sentiment than the Birthday Sentiment Set.

Here is the front of the card...

And here is the inside of the card...

When I saw the scalloped circle, I knew what I wanted to try.
Now I had tried this before...cutting a window in the front of the card
and having the image inside the card.
But I failed at it.  I didn't have the window centered right.
Well since then I have wondered how to make sure I centered it when I put the card in my Cricut.
It dawned on me as I was debating on putting a window in this...
don't center it.
Who said the window had to be dead center?
When I was looking for the paper to go with this card,
I found this cute page from the "Celebration Stack" from DCWV.
The paper had the birthday cake with candles and the "make a wish" sentiment.
So I used the lower right hand corner of the page to use the cake.
I cut the "Make a Wish" off the top of the page and added it below the cake.
The 'window' frame on the front and inside is part of the Birthday Sentiment Set
as well as the "birthday boy".
I colored the image with a combination of Prismacolor Pencils and Copic Markers.
Copics: E000, E00, R20, E25, E37, BV12, YG25, R29.
Prismacolor pencils:  PC 915, PC1001, PC 1103.

Can't wait to come see your project for Delight Challenges'
Make a Wish challenge.

Delightful Challenges Celebrate with Glittery Bling or Sparkly Things

Celebrate with Glittery Bling or Sparkly Things

I so love being on Delightful Challenges' Design Team.
I so love the images...
which come from Digital Delights.

This week's challenge is
Celebrate with Glittery Bling or Sparkly Things.

Our sponsor this week is...

The prize is 3 sets from the store.

I saw this image and knew I wanted it for this challenge.
The image is called Tubing Sally.
And of course what better paper than the Summer breeze digital paper.

The shells and color are from Jolee's.
The flower has Icicle Stickles
and the water under the tube is True Blue Stickles.
The image is colored in Copic markers.
I used 100, E000, E00, E 31, R20, FRB1.
The patch on the tube is Prismacolor Pencil PC921.

This is such a fun image and gotta love digital paper.
If you ever find you don't have the right paper in your stash,
you might find the right paper at Digital Delights.
No need to run to the craft store....
how many times have we done that???
Love digital paper for this very reason!!

Hope to see your project.

I made a step card by taking a 5" x 10.5" piece of green cardstock,
scoring it at 1.25", 2.5", 4.25", 6", and 8.25".
Then doing mountain and valley folds.

I used a combination of Copic Markers and Prismacolor Pencils.
The Copics I used are...
100, E000, E00, E25, E31, E37, R29.
The Prismacolor Pencils I used are...
PC941, PC1082, PC1084, PC1101.
I used a Gold Gel Pen on the stars.
I added some denim to the first mountain fold;
along with the sentiment and dog and bone that came from Micheals.
I added the word "YeeHaw" and the flowers, which were cut on my Cricut.
I sprayed the flowers with Pearl Glimmer Mist
and added some purple Stickles to the center of the pansy
