Delightful Challenges--Its a Guy Thing

Its A Guy Thing

I love this challenge.

It has been a busy month.
Kelly and Shane were married.

Kevin graduated from
Virginia Western Community College.

So this is the card I made for Kevin...

I used Graduation Dan,
Chillin Out Bookyworm
 (I did a mirror image so I
 have one pointing each direciton),
and
Flower Background.

I colored the image with
Copic Markers
B24, C5, C7, 100, E000,
E00, E25, E37, G85,
R17, R20, R29, Y13, Y17,
Y28, YG09, YG17, YG97
and white, silver and gold gel pens.

Now you know I like making
cards other than your simple one fold.
This is a GREAT side step template from
Digital Delights.

You can use it with most cutting machines
or use the PDF files and cut them yourself.
It takes all the guess work out of it
AND
it even cuts the pieces I did
with designer paper!!!

The designer paper is digital paper
but I don't recall where it came from.
On the top of the cap is a bit of Twilight Stickles
another new color!!

On the Side step
I have
3 Star Rhinestones,
and Royal Blue Liquid Pearls.

As you may know,
I love matching envelopes!!
I usually use my punch board.
BUT this time I am using the SVG file
included with the side step card.
(Digital Delights also has SVGs
for other size cards as well!)

I have also entered this in
Red Rubber Inspirationals: Way to go Graduate

Delightful Challenges Red, White, and Blue

Red, White and Blue

Love this challenge.
In the US,
when we hear
Red, White and Blue,
we think of our flag
and all things patriotic.
And that is the direction
I am going with this.

But you don't have to go
patriotic...
just use
red, white and blue.

For this challenge I am using
Star Strangled Pippin,
Liberty Daisy
and the
 Pop Up Box,
a paper piercing file from
Digital Delights.

Here is my card.....

I colored the image with
Copic Markers
B24, E000, E00, E11, E25, E25,
E37, G85, R29, Y13, YG97
And my white and gold gel pen.

I added Cranberry Stickles to
Pippin's hat
and Yellow Stickles to
Daisy flame.

I added Glossy Accents to
Pippin's glasses.

The stars and fireworks
 were cut on my Cricut.

I brushed Green and True Blue
Stickles onto the fireworks.

And I love Wendy!!!
Me and matching envelopes!
And Wendy even made a envelope
to go with this.

Now the pop up box has
files for most cutting machines.
Don't have a cutting machine?
No problem.
It comes with a PDF file
and you can cut it out...
super easy peasy!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Make it Simple....
Sounds like an each thing to do.

This is a different size card that I usually make.
 It's 5" x 7".

I printed the image twice.
I colored the flowers on the second image
and cut them out.
I then sprayed the flowers with
Rain Glimmer Mist
(Rain is a Limited Edition).
I then  used foam dots and
placed them over the flowers on the
original image.

And because every card must
have a little sparkle
(usually meaning Liquid Pearls or Stickles),
I have Yellow Stickles
in the center of the flowers.

So it looks like it is...
Make it Simple
card, I actually
did a few things to dress it up.
