Time for another Digi Darla's Challenge.  Busting with Buttons.  I have a pile of buttons and rarely remember to add them.  But I dusted them off and got busy with them.

First let me tell you about the challenge...and the added bonus with the challenge.  You MUST use a Digi Darla image.  Don't have a Digi Darla image, no worries.  On the challenge blog there is a link for free images, so be sure to grab one.  You have from Monday, March 26, 2012, 8 AM EST till Saturday, April 7, 2012, 9 PM EST to make a project and link it to the Challenge blog. 

The added bonus??  Each Design Team member has used a different new image.  If you enter the challenge and leave a comment on each of the DT's blogs, each DT member will draw a winner from those comments and the winner will receive the image we used. 

Ok here is the card I did for the Busting with Buttons challenge.  I used Soccer Girl 4. Talk about a cute image!!  It would make a great birthday card for a soccer girl, or a congrats card like I made.  Maybe even a card to thank the coach! I used some paper that was given to me when I first got into paper crafts.  The stack of paper was easily 10 inches high.  I shared some with Dawn, Lisa (fellow Digi Darla's DT members) and Dawn's mom.  Boy has that paper come in handy.  The buttons are from Joann's and the butterfly button is from Pizzazz Aplenty.  My stash from Pizzazz Aplenty is large.  Great embellishments, great prices.

Round 14

Can you believe we are doing round 14!?!?  Where has the time gone? 

The theme this round is Baskets or Bunnies...just in time for Easter.  Now let me take a moment to explain how a progressive challenge works...this on in particular.  You make a project using any of the images for the current round, link them up to the Challenge group and you will be sent a new set of images to use for the next round.  Don't have the current images?  No problem.  For $1, you can purchase the current set of images. 

I used this cute bunny from Stamping Dragon Designs.  The sentiment is my stash and I can't find who's it is...sorry.  The ribbon and eggs are from Michael's.  And the paper is digital paper from Peppermint Creative's Miss Mint Coordinated Kit Sweet Easter.

Craft room

Slowly my craft room is getting a bit of a re-do. 

Larry is in the process of making my Stickle holder for me.  There will be 5 shelves and each shelf will hold 10 bottles.  I know there are 42 colors of regular Stickles and the plan was 6 shelves of 7, or 7 shelves of 6, or 2 shelves of 21.  BUT than I was given a bottle of Distress Stickles, making 43.  Through that idea right out the window.  So hubby said 5 shelves of 10...then I will have room for more.

The embellishment boxes will be moved and the Stickle shelves will go in their place.  The boxes will be moved to where I have hung cards and pictures. 

In addition to this, Larry is going to put a board on top of my 3 drawer cart.  I store stuff on top of it and it being plastic it bows down making it hard to close the drawers. 

And finally I am hoping to give the room a nice spring cleaning cause it is overdue.  Once everything is done and settled, I will take pictures to share with everyone.

Ribbon shelf

My dear hubby made me ribbon shelves.  I had a shelf that had a dowel rod under it, but when I unrolled one ribbon, I got more then one.  Then I had to cut what I *thought* I needed.  So many times I had not much ribbon and more often than not I had not enough.  With these shelves, I can take the spool of ribbon to my work area and use what I need...not worry if I cut to much or not enough.  Now of course I need a lot more ribbon to fill all the shelves, but it's something to work towards.  :)

What do you think?  Larry did a great job.   I know it looks like it is not sitting straight but it is.

Here is the card I made for The Spring Fling Hop. I used Darla's Easter Girl. Colored her with my Prismacolor pencils and made a tri-fold card.  It's been a while since I made one, but boy was it fun.  The sentiment is a freebie from

I colored the word Egg with Prismacolor pencils and used Starry Nights Stickles on the work hunt.  I thought it was the perfect sentiment for this image.

It's time for a new Digi Darla Challenge.  Time to think about April Showers.  There is nothing like spring time in Virginia.  It is so nice to see the world come alive. 

Now here are the details of the Challenge.  You MUST use a Digi Darla image.  If you don't have a Digi Darla image, be sure to check out the "FREEBIES" on the side bar of the challenge blog.  We use random.org to chose the Top 3 winners. 

Now here is my card...

This is a CAS card.  Clean and simple, that is.  I used some teardrop clear rhinestones, from Pizzazz Aplenty,  down the right side.  Down the left side, I used some diasy strip from Michael's...they were on clearance.  I love them. 

Now you have till March 24th at 9 PM EST to get your project in.

Wow it's round 13 of Crafter's Dgital Art Center's Progreesive Challenge.  Now if you haven't heard of a Progressive Challenge, let me explain.  CDAC offers a free set of images...hurry they are free right now.  You make a project with them, link it to the Challenge page and you will get a new set of images.  Now if you are reading this after the current challenge, you can purchase the new set for $1.
